Native mobile product development

A mobile application is a product surface with its own interaction patterns, lifecycle, distribution rules, device constraints, and operating data. It also depends on systems users never see: APIs, authentication, data synchronisation, payments, notifications, feature configuration, crash reporting, analytics, and support tooling.

We design and build native iOS products with Swift and SwiftUI and native Android products with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Our mobile development service can cover a complete new application, a major feature, platform modernisation, or a mobile client for an existing backend and product ecosystem.

Application, backend, and shared product data

Native engineering includes navigation, state management, offline-aware data, secure local storage, location, camera and media workflows, push notifications, background tasks, subscriptions, in-app purchases, and platform accessibility. Where Firebase is appropriate, we use services such as Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, FCM, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, and Cloud Storage.

For products that need a custom platform, we build REST or GraphQL APIs, authentication and permissions, PostgreSQL or MySQL data models, queues, Redis, WebSockets, administration tools, and third-party integrations. A shared catalog or account model can support the mobile application, web product, commerce store, and other channels without duplicating business rules.

App Store and Google Play delivery

Shipping includes more than producing a binary. We prepare release environments, signing and build workflows, TestFlight or internal testing, analytics, crash reporting, privacy declarations, store assets, listing copy, and submission through App Store Connect and Google Play Console. Product and technical decisions account for review policies and payment rules before they become launch blockers.

After release, product analytics, stability data, reviews, and commercial events inform the next iteration. Because design, backend engineering, infrastructure, and data analytics are available in the same team, mobile work does not stop at the edge of the device.

Product behaviour beyond the happy path

We design mobile products for interrupted sessions, old operating systems, weak connections, denied permissions, expired tokens, and users moving between devices. The backend and applications agree on identity, state, conflicts, and retries; analytics describes meaningful journeys rather than every possible tap. Platform-native conventions are used where they reduce learning, while the product retains a coherent identity across iOS and Android.

Launch preparation includes test cohorts, store review requirements, privacy disclosures, remote configuration, crash reporting, support paths, and a controlled rollout. Once live, we study failures and behaviour by device and version, then prioritise changes against activation, retention, revenue, and support cost.
