SaaS and product platform development

Paul Titov & Co builds and modernises SaaS, internal tools, and product platforms for companies that need reliable APIs, identity, billing, integrations, background processing, administration, and long-term operation. We can own one constrained subsystem or the complete platform without requiring a rewrite by default.

A product platform turns a domain model into software that customers and internal teams can operate every day. The visible interface matters, but long-term reliability is usually determined by less visible systems: authentication, permissions, billing, APIs, webhooks, queues, notifications, imports, exports, audit history, administration, and deployment.

We design and build SaaS products, customer portals, operational platforms, and internal tools using PHP, Laravel, Symfony, Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Vue.js where they fit the system. Engagements can start with discovery and architecture, a defined feature or integration, or an existing codebase that needs a reliable engineering path forward.

Architecture, APIs, and product internals

Platform architecture is shaped around the domain, expected rate of change, operating scale, team, and integration surface. We work with modular monoliths, services, event-driven workflows, background queues, REST and GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, webhooks, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and third-party systems.

Identity and access work can include user and organisation models, role-based access control, OAuth, JWT, multi-factor authentication, invitations, impersonation controls, and audit logs. Commercial systems can include subscriptions, payment gateways, usage records, invoices, entitlements, and the state transitions around failed or changed payments.

Existing platforms and long-term operation

Taking over an existing product begins with understanding behaviour before changing it. We review architecture, dependencies, deployment, data models, failure history, tests, observability, security boundaries, and the roadmap. The first useful outcome may be stabilisation, performance work, an upgrade path, improved delivery, or a feature that proves the team can ship safely inside the current system.

Our software engineering service covers backend and product interface delivery, while DevOps and infrastructure supports environments, CI/CD, monitoring, backups, and release operations. Product design, analytics, AI, and growth capabilities can join when the platform problem crosses those boundaries.

The aim is a system that can keep changing without every release becoming a recovery exercise.

Building the less visible half of the product

The customer interface is only one view of a platform. We also design the account lifecycle, roles and organisations, billing states, entitlements, audit history, imports and exports, integrations, background processing, support tools, and controls needed by finance and operations. These internal surfaces are built around responsibility and exception handling, not as a miscellaneous admin screen at the end of the project.

For an established platform we can enter through one constrained area — slow releases, an unreliable integration, a permissions model, performance, or a framework that blocks new work. We measure the risk, stabilise the path around it, and modernise in increments that keep the business operating.
